Biography

Christopher D. P. Miller was born in Guelph, Ontario New Years Eve 1971. He began school in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario before moving on to Toronto and later to the suburbs of Ottawa.

Though his early years found him frustrated by his inability to translate his minds eye to his art, it was during his secondary school education that his creative vision found an outlet in photography. During two years with most of his free time was spent in the high school dark room where he first began refining his vision. The final years of high school became decision time. Would he pursue a career in photography and seek to make a living from the lens, with all the hardships that that brings with it or choose to pursue a career in computers? In the end the decision was made to pursue a lucrative career in high-tech and keep photography as simply a life's long passion.

The demands of post secondary education and a broken camera forced a short break from his creative side. That break would not last long, once in the working world Chris again took up the camera, and continued the creative journey that he began as a teen.

Becoming a SCUBA diver in 2000 ignited his passion not only in photography but in the underwater world. Chris is now becoming a practiced underwater photographer and videographer.

In late 2002 due to the North American high-tech down turn Chris found himself with the time and money to spend a month and a half in Thailand. While there he gained his SCUBA instructor rating so that he can now pass on his love of the underwater world to others. In the fall of 2003 that passion was shared with someone very special as Chris met the love of his life while conducting a professional level SCUBA training course.

Chris has spent the last ten years refining his craft and now his vision is becoming fully formed and being shared with others. This website is the culmination of years spent looking through the lens not as a professional but as a professional level passionate amateur.
